10 Restaurants That Source Locally!
We’re so grateful to work with some amazing Chefs in our region to provide produce for their menus. Winter is a great time of year to get out of the house and support your local restaurants, especially those who emphasize seasonal, organic, and local ingredients. Check out one of these spots next time you’re dining out!

Northern Virginia Restaurants
Joon
Joon is a modern Persian restaurant that celebrates the vibrant flavors, traditions, and hospitality of Iran. The restaurant’s name, "Joon," is a Persian term of endearment meaning "life" or "soul" — reflecting the warmth and connection they bring to every dining experience. Joon’s locally sourced menu offers a variety of delicious plates from fragrant saffron rice to wood-fired kabobs and rose-water kissed desserts.
Washington, DC Restaurants
The Dabney
Head to Blagden Alley in DC to experience delicious Mid-Atlantic cuisine at The Dabney! Centered around a wood-burning hearth, this restaurant features an open kitchen where dishes are prepared using ingredients from local farms in the region. Their menu changes seasonally, but some recent highlights include Hearth Roasted Vegetables, Butternut Squash Soup, and Dabney Grits & Grain Sourdough Tartine.
Oyster Oyster
Oyster Oyster works with Mid-Atlantic farms to create a vegetable-centered menu focused on sustainability. Their dishes also include oysters from the Chesapeake and mushrooms foraged locally. They offer an oystertarian tasting menu (that can also be made vegan or vegetarian), which changes based on the season. Some items from the current Oyster Oyster menu are Delicata Squash with Nori + Sesame, Lion’s Mane Mushrooms with Carrots Emmer Farro + Brown Butter-Yogurt Sauce, and Pumpkin Seed Sorbet.
Albi
Albi, Arabic for ‘my heart,’ features Palestinian cooking with local Mid-Atlantic ingredients. Their menu is centered around live-fire cooking with dishes like Charred Brassicas on Hummus, Smoked Beets and Muhamarra, and Hashwei. Albi is a Michelin-starred, James Beard award winning restaurant that was also recently named Washingtonian’s 2025 restaurant of the year!
Fish Shop
Located at The Wharf, Fish Shop celebrates the fishing communities and traditions that are at the heart of Chesapeake Bay. Along with sourcing vegetables from our farm, they work with a carefully selected collective of fishermen who supply responsibly caught fish and shellfish from the Mid-Atlantic area.
La’ Shukran
La’ Shukran is a Levantine bistro, bar, and rooftop terrace located in the Union Market District. Their menu features cuisine from Chef/Owner Michael Rafidi of Albi. Some highlights include Falafel Jibne, Embered Carrots, and BBQ’Maitake along with cocktails and natural wines!
Baltimore Restaurants
True Chesapeake Oyster Co.
True Chesapeake is a truly unique seafood restaurant! They have their own oyster farm on St. Jerome Creek off the Chesapeake in Southern Maryland, where they grow oysters for the restaurant. This helps support the Bay’s ecosystem and also provides a premium sustainable oyster for their menu. We’re so grateful to grow produce for their dishes like the one pictured above!
Little Donna’s
Little Donna’s is located in Baltimore’s Upper Fells Point neighborhood. Their menu is inspired by Midwestern roots and includes small plates, tavern pies, pierogies, roasted meats, and seafood. Chef Robbie Tutlewski started making pierogi (dumplings) with his grandmother Little Donna from Yugoslavia as a child, which is who the restaurant is named after. Stop by this cozy new neighborhood spot and try some of their delicious food!
The Corner Pantry
Opened by British Chef Neill Howell and his partner Emily from Baltimore, The Corner Pantry is a modern British inspired cafe located in Lake Falls Village. Its central location makes it a great spot to check out for those living in both Baltimore city and Baltimore County! The Corner Pantry serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, takeaway, and catering.
Annapolis, MD Restaurants
Preserve
Preserve is a casual American restaurant that focuses on pickling, preserving, and fermenting. They sustainably source ingredients and local products for their menu. Some recent winter highlights include Crispy Kale, Fennel Lemon Salad, and Bucantini Pasta with Sweet Potato Cream, Brown Butter, Pecorino, Sherry, Pine Nuts, Breadcrumbs, and Fried Sage.
The folks behind Preserve also have a modern beer and wine garden in Severna Park called Garten, which is one of our CSA + retail order pick up locations!
